My Perspective: The Future of AI in Marketing & Decision-Making
AI is changing marketing faster than anyone expected. What people see online, what they click, and even what they trust is increasingly shaped by algorithms—not just traditional search results or ads. I became interested in this shift when I saw how AI-generated answers were replacing normal Google links and quietly influencing people’s decisions. It made me want to understand what’s happening behind the scenes and how these systems guide our choices.
Through my research and graduate work in Marketing Analytics, I’ve learned how AI affects both sides of the decision process:
how marketers try to reach people and how people respond to AI-shaped information.
This is where my curiosity grows the most.

I’m interested in how people rely on AI answers—sometimes without realizing it—and how that changes the way they compare brands, search for information, or choose between different options.

A lot of AI models are accurate, but they don’t explain why they make certain predictions. I enjoy using explainable AI tools to uncover the real reasons behind choices, especially in important decisions like education or career planning.
• Connecting AI technology to real marketing outcomes
I want my work to show how AI changes visibility, competition, and growth for businesses. Understanding those shifts helps marketers make smarter, fairer, and more effective decisions in an AI-first world.
